چکیده
The two major challenges in industrial enzymatic catalysis are the limited number of chemical reaction types that catalyzed by enzymes and instability under harsh conditions catalysis. Expanding enzyme to a larger substrate scope greater variety reactions tuning microenvironment surrounding molecules achieve high performance urgently needed. In this account, we focus on our efforts using de novo approach synthesis hybrid catalysts can address these structure–function relationship is discussed reveal principles designing catalysts. We hope account will promote further toward fundamental research wide applications designed for expanding biocatalysis.

Whey upgrading by enzyme biocatalysis
Whey is a co-product of processes for the production of cheese and casein that retains most of the lactose content in milk. World production of whey is estimated around 200 million tons per year with an increase rate of about 2%/per year. Milk production is seasonal, so surplus whey is unavoidable. Traditionally, whey producers have considered it as a nuisance and strategies of whey handling ha...
متن کاملA New Hybrid De Novo Sequencing Method For Protein Identification
Tandem mass spectrometry is a powerful tool for studying proteins. However, an open problem for proteomics research is how to accurately identify proteins from the experimental mass spectra. De novo sequencing based protein identification is the only feasible approach for finding new proteins and studying protein post-translational modifications. In this paper, we describe our novel hybrid de n...
متن کاملDe Novo Enzyme Design Using Rosetta3
The Rosetta de novo enzyme design protocol has been used to design enzyme catalysts for a variety of chemical reactions, and in principle can be applied to any arbitrary chemical reaction of interest. The process has four stages: 1) choice of a catalytic mechanism and corresponding minimal model active site, 2) identification of sites in a set of scaffold proteins where this minimal active site...
متن کاملClustering of Short Read Sequences for de novo Transcriptome Assembly
Given the importance of transcriptome analysis in various biological studies and considering thevast amount of whole transcriptome sequencing data, it seems necessary to develop analgorithm to assemble transcriptome data. In this study we propose an algorithm fortranscriptome assembly in the absence of a reference genome. First, the contiguous sequencesare generated using de Bruijn graph with d...
متن کاملCharacterization of De Novo Synthesized GPCRs Supported in Nanolipoprotein Discs
The protein family known as G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) comprises an important class of membrane-associated proteins, which remains a difficult family of proteins to characterize because their function requires a native-like lipid membrane environment. This paper focuses on applying a single step method leading to the formation of nanolipoprotein particles (NLPs) capable of solubilizing...
